Local Attractions - North Coast & Surrounding Areas
The North Coast has it all!
The valleys and rolling country side, the white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters, the views, peace and quiet, and wildlife to remind you what nature is all about.
Beaches along the north coast range from glowing white sands to a mixture of rugged foreshore rock pools.
With the Island being approximately 55 kms wide, you can easily choose which side of the island to swim or fish to suit the weather forecast.
A great place to shelter from the wind and still enjoy a swim is through the short maze of boulders at Stokes Bay. Stokes Bay appears to be a very rocky area until you find your way through the boulders to a beautiful white sandy beach.
Snellings Beach is a very popular beach, located at the mouth of the Middle River. Care should be taken when swimming in the river, because of hidden logs. The beach itself is excellent for swimming and rock fishing at either end of the beach.
A drive to the top of Constitution Hill will reward you with a spectacular view of Snellings Beach.
